    Can anyone give me any clues to a problem with my Hoover AP120 washing machine. The machine door locked lamp comes on but the machine will not turn, motor brushes are ok but programmer does not seem to turn. When turning programmer by hand through cycles still nothing happens. What do i need to be looking for ?

    Does the machine fill with water after the door is locked ?

    Hi, yes it was filling with water before but doing nothing else. But at the moment i have it disconnected from the water supplies as i was checking the motor. So i am not sure now if the machine will work or not with no water connections, do i have to have water connected to re-test is there a pressure switch or something that will stop the motor / programmer working when the water supplies are disconnected ?

    One last thing i seem to have stated the model as AP120 it is in fact a AL120 sorry

    Just to say that after re-connecting the water supplies and trying the machine everything is working again. Not sure what i did as i tried everything, maybe there was a brush stuck up or a bad connection somewhere but it is all working again.
