    Good morning everyone,

Wondering if there is a “common” fault with the above door interlock ass’y?

The interlock incorporates a pressure switch system, and I thought I’d cured the complaint of not being able to open the door.

It was found that the m/c contained a large amount of water, which was simply due to a blocked pump filter, which I unblocked.

I was then able to open the door, (push button type) although there was a longer delay than usual – about 3 minutes.

However, the customer has reported that the same problem has recurred, although he doesn’t know if there is much water present in the drum.

I am returning tomorrow, and wonder where I should be concentrating, as I have little experience with this type of interlock.

I didn’t electrically test the unit, as I thought I’d cured the problem.

Perhaps, there is a further blockage; just wondered if there was any common problems with the above.

    Best wishes,

This sort of lock has no delay at the end.

So it should open straight away.

The fact you had to wait three minutes would indicate not a fault with the lock but a problem elsewhere.
Did you check the pressure vessel for blockages? If thats not blocked then recheck the sump, pump & drain hose.

While you are there insulation test the heater. This wouldn’t give you a door problem but can give a no spin fault.
