ModeratorI’ll start this of in Technical for now. 😉
Complaint of control knob sticking, machine stuck on wash for hours, clothes coming out warm.
Quick check of motor, pump, valves, heater, thermistor etc revealed no problems.
Timer itself appears to be sticking, set on short (delicate) spin and the machine drains, distributes and does the short spin. Then it switches off and back on and repeats the whole spin cycle again and again.
Although I read that these timers are prone to failure I have not had to change one before.
Does this sound more like the small timer rather than a control module fault.
If so ( this is when I move it to Spares)
I would need the part number and approx cost of either.
Serial number is 310001920235 3507

Had problems with both the selector and the board on this range of models. I always change the selector first (91201337), as they are cheap and easy to fit.( Electrue are doing them buy 2 for £5.99 each.) I have tried to work out a pattern to what faults are down to what, but as of yet I haven’t. Cheers.

That part number comes up as a dryer timer on Freefind, and entering the same number on Masterparts web site comes up with a picture of a completely different, small round timer. 😕

91201337 is the motorised selector, there is no timer as such on this model as the PCB controls everything.
They do play up though (the selector).
Freefind info is incorrect 😉

Thanks Dave, I did mean the motorised selector, but if Freefind is incorrect, check out the picture on Masterpart. it is nothing like the one I have seen today. The Freefind picture looks more like the correct part.

Masterpart’s picture is also wrong 🙄
It is the right part though I ordered one the other day from them for someone 🙂
