    This washer will drain and spin but when you put it on a wash programme the drum starts tumbling without letting in any water. Done basic check on pressure system and switch (could it be pressure switch or board fault? Checked EMW they dont stock board you have to send board with slave timer for repair. The common faults they list for the board or slave timer dont include this problem. Any suggestions please?

    Yep slight leak to earth on heater!

    common fault that lads… always worth a quick insulation test on the heater if a machine stumps ya !

    glad to be of service!

    oh, and if your wondering… its because theres a heater protect circuit on some machines through the pressure switch to prevent the heater comin on when empty.. an earth leak fools any pcb into thinking its already full of water, and that explains why it tumbles straight away!
