    Hoover Candy Work ?

Yep. I’ve had calls also, the details are being passed over to a team set up to deal with the indies.

well i hope they treat the indie’s better than the last time. im sure Kwatt will have some better comments than me on the subject, just dont take it a face value and be very very carefull out there. Just my opinion of course.

    Will they never learn?

12 years ago they told us all we were not good enough.

I don’t suppose they will ever arrange credit for the skip loads of stuff I was left with, and admit they treated us badly at the time.

However should they want to talk to me, I will be pleasant and professional as ever. Never know, may be an offer I cannot refuse.

    No. Most don’t.

The trouble now is, most of us can communicate and, faster than ever before. It’s a whole new world in many ways from our days of yore, IMO for the better. For repairers at least.

And I would expect no less Alex as that’s precisely the stance I take with all as well. I’ve spoken with a few people in Candy Hoover and have no issues at all with the people there at all but then, I’m not working for them so cannot comment on that front these days.

To be fair the old guard there are gone though.

Probably the people that usurped the old guard are gone as well. Or a good part thereof.

And, for those reasons I’d be more than happy to talk about it. But, probably like any other ex-Candy agent of long standing before the carpet was tugged from under my feet, I doubt that I will forget or set aside the experience in a hurry. Which makes the terms of any offer even more, shall we say, worthy of scrutiny.

This came up a while back though, a couple of years ago if memory serves me, that Candy were touting for direct agents to replace retiring engineers etc. and when I heard about the rates…

I’m sorry, I just have to say it, we’re not in the eighties anymore Candy and nobody is going to work for you in 2011 for 1980’s rates. Apologies, but the rates I heard of were really not very good. Not very good at all.

Add to that a three month termination, the usual administrative burden/s and all the rest… not a an offer that, at the time, I would consider at all as the investment wasn’t fitting with the return (at all). But, you never know, perhaps things have changed a couple of years on so it might be worth looking at.

Oh and BTW, it’s Candy Hoover.

Candy own Hoover, not the other way around.

If you ever have to deal with the Italians, especially any member of the Fumagali family you’ll either remember the protocol or

    Well, or. 😉

Let’s just leave it with, it’s best not to forget.
