    Hi Guys,
    going to this machine tomorrow, customer says it won’t start a 40 cotton program. It will do synthetics. ❓

    Check selector switch connections – more often than not they are green with corrosion due to leaks from the lid.

    Hi Steve,
    cheers for the reply,machine is only about 4 months old but it does seem like it’s the selector switch that’s faulty.

    Also look for frayed ribbon cables down where the loom passes the motor mounts. I had one that wore through the ribbon cables and blew the PCB as well. That machine was under a year old and being used in a school therefore Gias wouldn’t honour the warranty. It was a CMD146 as well.
    Absolutely abysmal machines coming from Gias ATM. 🙁
