this dryer had me stumped, customer says that she turned the dryer on and left it as per usual, it works for ten minutes or thereabouts then it stopped with start button flashing. The clothing is either full of very hot steam and wet or very dry clothes being too hot to handle. although I question why was the clothes being very dry and too hot to handle after 10 minutes(?)
I checked the condenser unit and gave it a good clean out, checked the airflow, fan blades appears to be firm, no play and co-operating with the shaft and nothing catching. Checked the heater and stats, nothing amiss. Replaced the sensor for good measure that was In the filter chamber beneath the door and yet the customer complained that it is still misbehaving. It wasn’t misbehaving when I tested it.
It is gravity fed drip condenser tray. I can’t think of anything that would prevent the dryer from doing the job it’s supposed to do.
With description like this seems more akin with washer dryer and restricted airflow but I gave the condenser dryer a check over for airflow, nothing seems to be getting in the way apart from there were some fluff settling on the base of carcass but it’s an old dryer and this is typical of it. I did give it a good vacuum. It is due for new felt seal but nothing that would be hindering the performance. Is there another sensor elsewhere or is it just the one underneath the door in the filter chamber? Any thoughts?
Thanks Matt.
