ModeratorAm I missing anything
hoover dryer 31102490 – HLE C9TCE-80
trying to remove the drum to replace the belt
undid all the screws and drum will not budge. Firmly stuck in the casinglooked for more screws and cant find any. Am assuming the seal round the heater inlet is making it stick but dont know

Moderatoryes the front comes off but cant get belt off the motor or replace idler pulleys with the drum in
some of the very late ones allow the sides to be removed but not this one

ModeratorHi Dave I’ve had this happen to me before the heater support I think they call it it’s what the bearing sits in is stick i had to praise it with a long flat blade screwdriver didn’t come easy though little tip loosen the motor bolts from the bottom to make the belt come off go on easier kai

ParticipantDave looking at the drawing with that model the side panels come off, its not the early type wrap round cabinet. So guessing once front off the belt can be attached from the side, I recall doing a capacitor on one ages ago apart from the usual 20 odd screws you should be able to access!

Moderatoryes can see diagram shows loose sides but they are not.
there not in the parts listing so not on this modelI think its a gasket thats stuck where the hot air enters the rear. there is a gasket just around the oblong hole
Going back with very long screwdrivers to see if it can prise it out. told customer it may scrap it if i use too much force but I have to find out whyDave

Moderatorto finish this off it was the seal round the heater inlet stopping the drum from being removed
once it got a long screwdriver down there I was able to prise if off through the hole where the heater attachesDave
