ParticipantHi,
I’ve a Hoover DDY062 for a few years now.
When I turn it on it immediately beeps constantly, with 4 flashing LED lights, plus the salt refill light stays on (not flashing).
The first 4 led lights flash, ie.
1. “Intensive icon”/75C
2. “Normal icon”/60C
3. Eco/45C
4. R29/50CThe 5th LED in that row is the Salt refill led.
It stays on permanently.
There’s no delay in the flashing or beeping, they’re at regular intervals.I refilled the salt & rinse aid as they were empty, got a spoon and stirred the salt around in the salt refill container.
Then I checked the hoses at the back weren’t blocked. But the beeping/lights still come on immediately, no delay or attempt by the machine to start a program.
There’s no water in the machine, ie. it successfully drained from the last cycle okay.I’m techy and searched the web, but none of the standard error codes seem applicable. I did read something about giving the machine some time for the water to ionise after filling the salt, for the machine to detect it.
But I would’ve thought the machine could run without salt anyway, that it shouldn’t stop it from starting up.Any advice or interpretation of the LED/beeping codes?

First reset it…
“To exit an Error condition whatever, push and hold for 3 seconds the Program Selection Button (or the Button P1). If the Dishwasher has a Program Selector Knob, move the Knob to 0 (or Reset). Close the door and wait for the end of the Drain Phase. “
Then count the frequency of the flashes, the count gives the error code.

Top man ! 😀
Seriously, thanks a million, that resolved the problem.I do remember something like this happening before and as a guy in I.T. I had tried holding down the “start/reset” button for more than 5 seconds, to no avail.
The program button done the trick.
As soon as I mentioned this, the missus says “Oh I may have opened the door before the program had finished” :rolls:I really appreciate this, we’re expecting our 2nd baby next Monday and didn’t need the extra hassle/expense.
thanks,
