hi
I have an Hoover ecologic 800rpm spin about 6 years old (i think). Every time the cycle ends with the spin when the spinning is almost stopped it trips the whole Kitchen ring main off at the fusebox. if i turn the washer off as soon as the motor stops keeping it spinning at 800rpm and it is still reducing its rpm it does not trip the fusebox. if i wait until it almost stops or stops completely it trips the fusebox. Its a mad rush to turn the machine off before the drum stops completely! Any advice would be appreciated. Has the drum got brakes? If so, could it be anything to do with these?
sorry not anymore info on model number, will try to find out
thanks
Michael
Re: hoover dies and trips fusebox when spinning stops
I would check the brushes, it could be carbon dust tracking over.
Unplug appliance before investigating further. If in any doubt please use the engineer link below.
