Can anyone confirm that E3 on this machine is an drain fault? The machine empties and fills correctly. The pressure switch has been replaced and the pressure chamber and hose is clear. I suspect the control module? Anyone had the same problem before I order a new control module? Regards Taff
If it drains okay & pressure system is not blocked then it’s commonly the result of intermittent earth fault on the wash element. It should show E16 but the diagnostic software often gets it wrong and comes up with E3 towards the end of program.
Usually happen just before the final rinse shows as a e3 but it you turn selector dial to off and turn back on quickly to a different programme will show as an e16 . Testing element for continuity or earth leakage won’t show as a fault , but resistance is either to high or to low so it triggers a fault code . Change heating element and all will be good . Not sure what accepted ohms readings PCB is programmed to accept as normal
