Our washing with the above model number showing behind the door has an E07 issue

The machine works fine and once a cycle is complete it will unlock the door after a minute or two, but then after another couple of minutes the door will re-lock and E07 appears. Turning the dial to off means the door will unlock after another pause.
Turning the machine on and not starting a cycle will also lead to the same error after a few minutes.
I have replaced the door lock but this didn’t improve anything. This issue has been present for a couple of years but means we can’t use the delayed start function which would be really handy. I would really appreciate some guidance on what to check, I can’t find a solution in the other posts. There are suggestions it could be motor brushes but with it functioning OK for the last 2 years it seems unlikely? If anyone can tell me the length they should be I’ll check them.

Thanks, Simon

E07 is a door lock fault but can also be caused by a problem with the motor itself or could be control board which is rare

Si465 did you ever resolve this issue?

We have a wdyns654d with exactly the same symptoms. In our case the machine developed fault e08 and e07 – I replaced the motor brushes to resolve e08 and the machine now functions, however e07 persists with the same behaviour you state – the cycle successfully completes and the door unlocks after a short time, but the lock symbol on the led remains, it will then re-lock and display e07 after a short period.

Weird fault. Anyone else have any ideas? I dont want to replace the switch of is not at fault. Sounds like it is something else.

What is the “door switch” by the way? Some sort of combined solenoid and switch?
