Hoover DYN9144DG Light Flashing

Hi there,

I have a Hoover DYN9144DG washing machine which stopped working a little while ago, the door lock icon is flashing on the control panel and it won’t let me run any of the programmes.

I’ve tried leaving it unplugged, have checked the drainage isn’t blocked, have replaced the door lock/switch, tried various ‘hold-down’ button combinations, all to no avail. I can’t find a reset button and have been advised over the phone that it may be the main board, in which case it’s not worth repairing.

It’s only a few years old but I can’t afford a call out fee if I then find I have to buy a new machine! Any help gratefully accepted!!

Count the flashing pattern and let everyone know what it is. I had a similar problem with my Hoover WM which turned out to be a broken heating element.
