    Hi,

I have an Ecowave 5 washer dryer, worked fine until about 12 months ago when the pump went. I replaced the pump but now it takes forever to fill.

    Example:

When you turn the washer on and set the program it fills quite quickly, works for a bit, then drains (partway through first program), all that is fine.

Then it refills, but water is just trickling in and it takes forever (am I right in thinking this is cold water only). I’ve even taken to pouring water in via the soap drawer to speed it up.

the dial for the program setting is still going round, but by the time it’s filled up the program is almost over.

I’ve checked the inlet pipes and they are fine, I’ve changed the valves on the plumbing, but all to no avail.

    Can anyone help

    kinked pipe?
    valve filter blocked?
    faulty valve?
broken tap head not allowing switch to turn on full

    anyone of these is possible

Re: Hoover Eco Wave 5- very slow filling

    Thanks,

I know it’s no a kinked pipe as I can see behind the washer.

I suppose I should test the flow of water by disconnecting from the machine and opening the valve with the pipes in a bucket.

I’ve just looked at the prices of replacement solenoid valves (I presume there is one in the Ecowave 5) and at a tenner a pop, assuming theres noting wrong with the plumbing upto the washer, it’s not worth NOT buying a new valve.

    Thanks again for the advice.
