Hoover Fridge Freezer HCA390K

Hiya,

I am hoping someone can help or advise me in any way regarding my fridge freezer. It is a hoover fridge freezer HCA390K and it has suddenly stoppped working. It appears to make all the correct noises? but has defrosted all the stuff. The black box thing at the bottom is very hot.I am just curious to know whether anyone else has come accross this problem before with this particular model. It is only just under 3 years old. Thanks

If the compressor is very hot it indicates a system failure I’m afraid normally. Either compressor failure or gas shortage I would imagine 🙁

Check Repairs@ for an engineer to confirm though 🙂

Hi there cliogirl,

I have the same fridge freezer and mine stopped keeping its temp after a power cut. Black box/compressor very hot too. Had the compressor changed but the only difference it made was that the appliance now cuts out now and then rather than running constantly.

Have got a post running at the moment called something like “Hoover fridge freezer not cooling”.

Hope you have better luck with yours.
