    Hi All,

I bought a Hoover H Wash 300 last year from hoover direct.

Since I got the machine I have been disappointed with it.. the biggest problem is the noise it makes while spinning which I have been told is normal for this model.

Just after one year of ownership and very light use (I live alone) it give me an electric shock, the live cable coming into the unit has come away from the interference filter, it had melted. I got this repaired free of charge under the sales of good act as it was not fit for purpose.

At the same time I logged this issue over the phone with them I said I have not been able to use the wizard app which was a big factor for me when I bought the machine. The person on the phone advised the engineer that visits would be able to sort this out for me, however he said he doesn’t do anything to do with the app.

I am looking to reject the unit under the sales of good act now as the noise it makes and no app control.

Has anyone had any dealings with hoover direct and getting the unit made fit for purpose or having the unit replaced with something which is fit for purpose?

Failing that I will look to go down the small claims route.

Any pointers on a budget friendly machine which is app controlled and much quieter (such as an invertor motor)

    Thanks.
