Hoover H160E Stop Light Flashing

Hi all, hope someone can help.
I have a problem with my Hoover H160E washing machine – symptoms are:

– When the selector dial is turned to select a program, the ‘Stop’ light (at the end of the timer countdown display) begins flashing continuously.
– Once the desired program is selected, I can press the start button twice and the program will begin.
– The program WILL finish and the clothes appear washed.

I had a previous problem in that the drum wouldn’t drain and ‘SuperWash’ and ‘Start’ flashed three times periodically but this was solved by replacing first the drain pump (rusty) and the Program Module (visibly blown components). This cured the pump not draining the washer but has created the flashing stop button as described above!

Would appreciate someone’s knowledge and experience to advise what this is telling me.

The stop light always lights with these before you tell it to start the programme. If the machine is working correctly I can’t really see where the problem is?

Ok … Was just a little concerned that the light was flashing – don’t ever remember it doing that before! Like I said though the washing appears ok so, for the moment, I’ll ignore!
