I have a Hoover HBP 145-80 for the last 5 years. We recently moved house and, prior to the move, the washing machine worked without any problems.
Since moving in the machine has developed a really annoying problem. With an empty drum (i.e no clothes), the machine works perfectly. With some clothes (5 t-shirts) it works without problems. Anymore than 5 t-shirts amounts, the machine fails to work properly.
The issue is this – when putting the machine on a cycle, e.g. rapid for 29 minutes, the washing drawer begins to fill (as normal). The drum then spins 2-4 times, there is a loud click, and the washing machine drawer fills up again. In then gets stuck in this cycle of 2-4 spins and then the drawer filling up. The only way I am able to get round this is to turn off the machine, so the programme deselects, and then to change the dial to the rinse cycle. It goes through this perfectly well, although the washing machine drawer seems to try and fill for quite a long time.
If the machine is empty the 29 minute cycle works perfectly to time.
Any thoughts?
