ParticipantHi folks
Just for future referance can someone jusy enlighten me a little:)
Been to this one today not starting and sounds like it flled partway then stopped.
Unable to get door to lock up – cable type door interlock fitted. Live to center connection looks like neutral to outer (sleeved) wire as 240v between that and live – but when I put my tester between live and inner connection (double wires, sleeved) it puts the pump on.
I suspect this is door lock but was unable to prove cuz i wasn’t sure which connections to short out – instinct was telling me to two outer sleeved connections but I would have expected to have got a voltage difference between them but got nothing.
Now presumably the door lock is switching neutrals so does the computer have to sense the door lock is made before it compleets other circuits to switch m/c on?
Im confused because if that was the case they could do that with less load taking wires but looks like the m/c load goes through the interlock?
Or am I completely wrong?
Is there an easy way to test these machines without having to replace the interlock to find out?
Can the PCB or the slave timer stop the interlock from making?
If so is there an easyway to test which is causing the problem?
Have ordered the interlock as I had L and N there but not convinced this is the prob.
Comments and help appriciated – Thanks
Mick

You should have 3 wires from the back wich is green should be live when m/c is
switched on (but not started )when start button is pressed it switches to neutrel
unsleaved middle wire is allways live , then gives the front sleaved wire live when the door
lock makes contact …. okYou can short out the 2 white wires BUT WILL ONLY RUN FOR 5 SECOUNDS , and show an error code
2 door lock o/c…best way is to just connect a new d/lock ..

Thanks Phil
Been back and was just door lock as suspected – looks like I might have to keep one on my van as they not 2 pricey and cheaper than a second visit.
