ParticipantImpressive forum. Lets hope it cansave me some grief.
My fridge on my Hoover HCA390FFK keeps freezing up – a quick defrost with a hair dryer solved the problem for a short time, but its now back again.
Having checked the forums this seems quite a common problem, but I have read this appliance is electronically controlled and therefore will not have a termostat ? Can someone confirm this is true and therefore I need an engineer to check everything out.
Would a complete 24 hour defrost solve the problem (i had read something about the drian plug giving a problem) although it seemed “clear” after my rapid hairdryer defrost of the freezer compartment.
Finally I have also checked the repairs at for someone in my postcode area, LE19 ( Narborough Leicester) with no joy. Just this mean I have no choice but to call Hoover for an expensive service visit. The applicane is just over 2years old – I cant recall if this has a 5 year parts warranty or not ?
Regards.

I’m afraid I have no listing for anyone covering LE either, unless one of the trade guys reading this can help ?

It should have, phone GIAS (Hoover/Candy service) on 01204 556100, they can check and if required book a call for you.
