    Hi Everyone,

I have a Hoover Frost-Free Fridge/Freezer (which is less than 3 years old) with the following problem :-
the green power light has gone off and has been replaced by the orange “super” light which is now permanently illuminated irrespective of the position of the thermostat. The fridge part seems to be operating OK in that it is still keeping food in there cool, however the freezer section is way too warm at only about -5deg C (measured with freezer thermometer) and it is not freezing food properly.
The motor seems to be running OK in that it is not running constantly, it is cutting in and out as you might expect.

The model info from the plate behind the salad compartment is as follows :
    Model : HCF 3655X
    No. 34000847 0651 0994
    Type PF36

Is this something I can fix myself ? I am practical and have reasonable electrical knowledge (eg I’ve replaced the thermistor in my dishwasher).

I am assuming that the orange light senario is signalling a failure of something, maybe a sensor ?

Hope you can assist as the wife is lining up a visit to the shops.

    Merve
