Hoover HD 95M blocked

Hi all,

The dishwasher is blocked, nothing in the pull out food filter thingy. An amount of dirty water stays in the bottom of the machine and doesn’t want to drain.

Could somebody please advise on some fault finding steps?

Sorry for the delay – we’ve been off at a conference.

Your post suggests that the machine is partly draining? A normal charge of water would at least partly cover the base of the machine, so a small residue would suggest a partial blockage. Do the obvious first – check the drain hose for kinking and crushing, also the sink coupling for crud build up.

IIRC the drain pump is a separate unit on this model – following the drain hose back will reveal its exact location. Should you need to remove it ensure that power is disconnected, indeed any internal inspection should be performed with the power off.
