Cautionary note: don’t assume the electronic control panel is faulty if there’s odd flashes.
How many flashes is it?

once it stops half way through a wash and it flashes 3 times on time saver , i have checked the heating element and it works , also change the controlpanel thinking it was a programme problem and still having the same problem

Blimey, that’s a bit extreme fix when the fault is simply a drain time-out error.(i.e Pump blocked or drain outlet restricted) 8)

Yup, as Martin says, it’s a drain timeout error.
The control module will almost certainly not be faulty.
There is a known issue with the wash heater in these machines that Helo pointed out in another thread where they have a slight earth leakage and trick the board into thinking there’s a drain error. The element you can get here:
http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/Washing+ … ement.html
It’s almost certainly the cause. Can’t be 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} but I’d be very confident.

update
i have taken the pump out to have a look and all the pipes are clean and clear the pump spins freely and replaced all back and put on a wash as it didnt work , timer saver again , i dont get paid till tuesday , would you say its worth getting a new element as stated it does suffer a earth leak tricking the control panel to come up with a drain error ??

Hi Chris,
You’ve got four choices the way I see it..
Get an engineer in to look at it for you.
Get a hold of an earth loop meter to check the element although, you will either need to know how to do that or know someone that does.
Take a punt on the heater, which as stated, is a known issue.
Replace the machine.
I reckon that’s about it really.
