    Hi

I just bought a replacement heater from your website for the Hoover HDC 6 Condensor tumble dryer. Hoew do I fit it?

I have had the back silver plate off and accessed the heating element where the thermostats are. However there is a white connecting cable going to the inside of the dryer unit with a series of small plugs on the end. I am happy enough about changing them over but how do I get inside the tumble drier to access this specific area?

Does the side of the drier chasis come off or bottom? (already got the top off and can see down to the drum)

    Confused? Please help !

    Many thanks in advance.

Some would suggest taking the front off and removing the drum.

I have managed to change the heater by pushing in the ty-wrap stud into the machine you can then carefully pull out the wiring.

You can then with nimble fingers push the new ty-wrap end back in place. (with the help of a wire coat hanger or something similar).

    Well worth the fiddle.

Unplug the machine electrically of cause!!!!

Thanks for the speddy reply, I will go and have another look and try what you suggest. I dont fancy having to g an remove the drum.

As i have not yet had a look back inside yet, how do you connect up the plugs on the end of the heater inside the machine if there is not a lot of space?

    Thanks

    😀
