    Hi. I’m new here & very new to doing anything with washing machines.

    I’ve been given the above machine by a mate who told me it ‘some times doesn’t spin, but if you put it to spin manually its fine.’
    It refuses to drian 👿 , I expect that’s the cause of it not spinning!
    I’ve tried removing the front of the pump to check for debrits jamming the impeller & its all clear.
    Any advice on what might be wrong & how to fix it would be most welcome.

    Coin in the pump inlet tube is always a good one for this type of fault.

    Power off first.

    Ooo, Right , that shouldn’t be too hard to find. I know what the pump looks like, so , its the tube from the drum to the pump?
    That figures, if the coin has shifted when we moved it, that explains why the fault is now worse. I’ll strip it down after work.
