    Hi, very useful forum.
My problem is with my Hoover HFA27K frost free fridge freezer. It is about 3 years old and I have never had any problems, but yesterday I woke up to find that everything in the fridge section had completely frozen and there was ice all up the back of the inside of the fridge. The freezer section is still working fine. The thermostat has always been set on “2” out of a possible “4”. There had been no open water in the fridge or anything like that. I also checked the water drain hole and that does not seem to be blocked, although it’s difficult to tell. Any ideas on what could have caused it? Dodgy thermostat, or would that have also affected the freezer?
Thanks in anticipation of your help!
    Paul

This could possibly be a module or sensor problem. It will need diagnosing. Check out repairs@ for an engineer in your area.

    Regards
    Simon.

As a further note to this post, I poured a small amount of warm water down the water drainage hole. The fridge is now operating perfectly, touch wood. Possibly ice in the drainage hole? I’ll keep an eye on it.
