    According to the fault codes which you can find under the forum Help & Advice pages at the top of the home page F8 is as follows

    [TD]Motor tacho fault – washing machine motor tacho detected as open circuit or shorted

    • Check motor connector block
    • Check wiring
    • Check tacho connections
    • Check motor

    Error 8 is a thermal fuse fault ie thermostat that is on the front of dryer hope this helps
