hoover hnc170-80 motor parts modifications ???

having bit of trouble with this one and hoover arent being of mych use either… ideally i need a knowledgeable service engineers access to tech info!

one of the jockey wheel levers is shot, and the service replacement is no longer available. got the alternative lever arms from qtx, and theres 2x problems.

not only are new levers narrower, they also dont clip on, they are drilled, as opposed to originals having slots. this means they wont fit on the original lever pinion on the motor, which implies either the whole motor needs replacing or the pinion can be sourced separately. if its the latter has anyone got a part no for the pinion on its own???

looking at the service manual you have the wrong jockey pulleys the part you need is 06017597 X 2.

good old connect stuff up again ! cheers bob thATS PERFECT part, and loopy, spot on with no1 although thats now superceded with bobs code. its annoying i ordered the white jockeys thru qtx cos if it was thru connect i could get them returned 🙁 oh well at least i can get it fixed now
