my most hated product at the mo is the Hoover/Candy tumble driers. real nasty to work on, I hate em 😈
Anyhow, this one will not run without the on button held in, it has a little pc board with a relay on just behind the facia (sounds easier to change than it really is as the screws are covered by the outer front panel, typical Candy!) so I am going for that unless anyone else has a different expereince?
Spot on Mark. Not that difficult really. Front panel comes off quite easily, Undo every screw that you can see on the front. Drop the front panel an inch or so to reveal the screws and Bob’s your Uncle.
Thanks for that Bob. The trouble with those screws is that they are nearly all differring lengths and stuff, its just a pain when stuff is built that way.
when I work on these I take a sheet of A4 and as I take off the screws I put them on it and put a ring around them marking where they come from. you can get into a real mess once you ve put the wrong one in the wrong hole.
wilf
p.s. the front duct fixings are always broken and I hold this together by cutting a couple of notches and using cable ties!
