    how on earth do you change a capacitor on one of these . there has to be an easy way .does any one know the value of the cap or part No. M

    front off, drum out!!!!


    unless u use a tin opener, theres no other way im afraid

    agreed, they must p155 themselves when they design them, thinkin about us tryin to repair them

    unlike the ctd, which are rubbish, but are easy to work on

    Just searched for HNC180 and this thread came up so I thought I would try here first.
    Bloke has just rung up saying he has a HNC180 and has found what sounds to me like a felt front bearing in the drum.
    He says it’s a condenser type with the collector in the base so presumably not pumped.
    So I found Helo’s comment

    unlike the ctd, which are rubbish, but are easy to work on

    encouraging.
    Apparently it hasn’t needed emptying half as frequently recently.
    Any ideas, not involving skips, please?
