Hi all, New to this forum. Just replaced the bearings in this 18 month old Hoover HNL6166 machine. All went well and put it back together only to find that the stop light keeps flashing. When i press the start button the light goes out for a few seconds then flashes again.
The timer delay button lights up the various delays but it doesnt operate the delayed start.
Also the time saver and stain blaster buttons light up when pressed but the sensitive care button doesnt.
The machine doesnt make any sounds clicking of door etc.
I am guessing i have done something to the prog board as i have pulled the drum up although i dont recall catching it. I cant see it being anything else but aint that always the case.
Do any of you fine people have any ideas before i track down a board. Thanks in anticipation of cleaner clothes
:rolls:
Are you sure all the wires for the heater, motor etc were put back right when you put the tub back in? In particular, some of the newer machines have a wire to the motor casing which is a different colour to the usual green & yellow earth wire. Obviously you also need to check all other connections that might have got tugged during the job.
Yeah all wires are fitted back as they come off. I even took photos of them all because i knew i was having to strip the whole lot to get the drum out.
Thanks to those who are trying to help. Penguin, there is no pattern. The only light that flashes is the stop light. It flashes continually until I press the start button. The stop light stops flashing for about 3 seconds and then starts flashing continually again?
