I have a Hoover HNL662-80 which partially runs some programmes and just goes straight to “door unlocked” on others.
I have read the forums and seen that there should be fault codes, but the information says that the “Start/Pause LED flashes the code on a 15 second cycle”.
Unfortunately, the machine has a non illuminated start/pause button and no associated LED. I can’t find how to get it to produce the fault code – it doesn’t do so when turned on (using the knob), nor when attempting to run programmes.
I’d be very grateful for advice as to how to find the fault codes and whether the Programme Control Module is most likely to be at fault.
    Thank you

Having played with another almost identical machine and control panel, I have now worked it out.
In order to get the machine to run through its diagnostic procedure or produce the fault codes on these machines, you press and hold the left hand option button which has an LED, turn the control knob clockwise 2 clicks. Keep holding the button for a further 5+ seconds and then, when you release it, all the lights come on and the test procedure starts.
Unfortunately, on the machine in question, nothing happens. I have checked all the connections so must assume that it is the control panel which is at fault.
