I went out to one of this today, HNMF 2605A L-80
    Serial number 35000557 07104156.
Customer reported ice in the freezer, when I looked, there was a build up of ice and snowy like icicles dangling from the roof of the freezer compartment. The air holes in the rear wall of the freezer were also partly blocked with clear ice. I managed to take it apart to look at the evaporator, which was clear of ice and frost. The door seals are perfect, the defrost heater element is testing ok, the fan is running fine and the customer is adamant that the freezer door hasn’t been left open. It’s 18 months old and it has an electronic PCB located at the top behind a grey plastic bezel.
The customer also reported ice droplets on the wet wall in the fridge compartment, which turns back into water, however I informed her that was normal.
I have a friend that used to work for Hoover and he has told me in the past that the PCB’s cause problems like this, but I’m not entirely sure myself and as luck would have it, he’s gone away on holiday.
    Help please………
    Thanks in advance,
    Robert.
