    Hi,

I have a Hoover HNV380 tumble dryer, recently followed your instructions to grease the pulley rollers to stop whining noise which worked very well.

However ever since then the door seems to have play (up down) when closed, a lot of fluff escapes as well as hot air out through the door edges. Is the door not aligned properly or does the seal need changing? I must add this happened immediately after I opened it up. Makes me think I did something wrong in reassembly.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks.

It sounds like to me either the front panel or door seal are not fitted correctly more than likely the door seal

Right I’ve taken the front panel off and reinstalled the door seal. A lot of warm air still escapes from the top of the door. Do you reckon I need a new seal? Ive attached a video showing the play in the door.

Doubt its the seal as the door is loose on the hinges.
The hinges have one screw longer on top & bottom hinge that screws into the inner plastic frame. Is that the case?

Yes they both have one a small and large screw, I think the larger screw is the bottom one of each.

As you’ve already stated you thought it may be something you’ve done wrong in reassembly.
Hinges can’t suddenly get play in them…
