I attended this washer dryer few weeks back with the fault of stop button light flashing. I couldn’t find anything wrong with it, I even carried out full functional checks and nothing untoward came up. I spent a good 45 minutes on it.

Today I got a call saying that same thing happening again. I could not find owt on the forum on this machine nor find any parts relating to this machine.

The owner had it for 6 years. I have a hunch that it could be the PCB failure.

Lastly the w/dryer is boxed into a kitchen unit and some clever person tiled the floor right up to the machine. The tiles is 2cm thick. No room to move the machine out unless the tiles are removed. The owner is happy for me to rip out the floor tiles to remove the machine but this is a £1M house. It doesn’t feels right to rip it out, what should I do? Please do tell me that the machine is BER then the next poor blighter will have a hard job to install the new appliance…

Customers responsibility to have the machine removed for you to work on, they may say that you can remove the tiles to get it out but I would’nt risk it. It’s too easy for them to forget they told you that & try claiming for any damages, more than 1 Engineer has been caught out by that 1. Tell them you’ll come back to check the machine once it’s out as your Public Liability insurance does’nt cover you for that.

I do have a disclaimer for the client to waive any rights to make a claim for any damages. This disclaimer saved me many times.
