i havent tested them i will check that though. strange thing about this is the original fault was just a bra wire in tub , i removed the heater to extract it and all seemed ok, later the customer said it had not spun so after a quick look over i thought best to bring it in , concluded it must be the board

well it seems that there are more than one board for this model as a tel call to connect revealed, surprized that yet again none of the engineers on this forum could offer that solution, most questions i have submitted has generally drawn a blank or some wrong suggestion, i’m sure some genuine help has been offered by some ,but get the feeling there is a reluctance by others to offer genuine help ,

Personally I take serious umbrage at that remark. There are times when questions are posed that I honestly do not know the answer to, other than that I, along with virtually every other member who posts on a regular basis does their level best to answer peoples questions, they do however say that “God helps them that help themselves”.
I can honestly say that I get no feeling of any reluctance to help, even when certain individuals would seem to be in the wrong profession ( no names, no pack drill ) help is still offered willingly.
Hoover spares info is readily available online for those who take the effort to seek it out.
Most people would assume that an engineer of any merit would have availed himself of that information before ordering expensive parts such as PCB’s 😉

If you’d put up the serial number as well as the model, no doubt we would have instantly managed to summon up the correct part number for you…..

Why do you keep using the site if you find it so useless?
I personally find this site very useful. You may not get all the answers you want but nothing in life is 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}.
Chill out a bit a stop being so paranoid.
