hoover hp6 130m drum bearings

i assume from the noise coming from machine on spin that the bearings are gone,i thought first of all that my baby had forced something in between inner and outer drums and it was rattling round but i’ve checked with a torch and there is nothing in there,there is play in the drum when you move it,also after a wash there are particles on the inner drum which i think are bits of the outer plastic drum holder,i’ve sourced some bearings but want to know if its a relatively easy job to do,the outer drum will split,

Tank out job. Make diagrams or take pictures before removing anything.
You mentioned that you have sourced bearings; have you got the seal as well? You’ll be wasting your time if don’t fit a new one.

Apart from that, much enjoyment to be gained from wielding a large hammer and drift. Check drum shaft for any signs of damage or again you’ll be wasting your time.

yes bearing set includes seal
