hoover hsc170 dryer

    customer just called and said tumble dryer buzzing when start button pressed. if they push the tub it starts, anyone actually fixed one of these machines. i posted similar fault for a hnc180 and now currys want a qoute to fix.i dont want to order parts to try to fix to find out what the problem is. hope someone has come accross these model faults before.the machines are both 13 months old,regards tedd

    the capacitors probably faulty if it will go with a push

    not the nicest of jobs, just takes time

    will be capacitor 8uF if i remember correctly bit of a pig to get at complete front has to come off if its not a condensor its not too bad but the condensors have a lot less room

    watch out for the little pcb at the top you have to remove the front of the dryer and lower it away carefully with 1 hand while unscrewing it wtih the other will snap if you get it wrong
