Tumble Dryer does not heat up although it times out and cycles satisfactorily. The Fan and Heaters and top thermostats check out with multimeter and the fan does start up momentairily with the heaters for about half a second, then shut down. Water filter clean and wash cycle okay. Not familiar with other sensors on this machine. Any advice please? – 🙁 Tony

Hi Tony: I don’t know this particular machine, but the 1st thing i’d do in your situation would be to trace the wiring from the heater back to whatever board controls it and check for bad solder joints & bad capacitors.

Thanks for suggestion. Been looking for web sites with diagram but apart from user’s instructions put out on the Hoover-site unable to locate an electrical schematic, not even within the machine. My area of expertise was Maytag and models used offshore on rigs and maritime where I was a tech. Been retired for a dozen years or so but like to keep my hand in. Thanks for responding. Good to know helpful persons around. Ps. My area of speciality was self propelled jack up barges, laundry included – Tony

Hi Tony: You’d be very lucky to find a circuit for it to be honest, Schematics / Service manuals are very hard to come by nowadays.

Hi Tony: Can you re-check that model number for me ? You called it a tumble drier, but the only listing I can find with that number is a combined Washer / Drier.

Andy – You are perfectly correct it is a washer/dryer. The washer is operating perfectly, so much so its a pity not get the complete cycle of drying etc. The machine is pristine and hardly a sign of wear. I am begining to test out control PCBs and check voltages sinces it is making an attempt to start drying but shuts off after a few seconds in cycles. No clues yet.
