Hoover HW6316MUK dryer knob doesnt go to 0

This one will finish the drying cycle after the wash but the dryer timer knob sticks in between 0 and 20 and has to be set to zero manually. If not done, when the next wash finishes the dryer will start again. Customer wants this fixing.

Also i may be wrong here but when on spin if the timer is set to stop the machine carries on in spin cycle till the end. If on off switch is pressed to off then turned to different cycle and switched back on machine accepts the change of program. Is this normal?
