    Hoover HWD120 – 80 washer drier. No. 31001037 0520 0281.

The usual fault with Candy washer driers – condenser pipe ruptures; water everywhere. Annoying but not serious.
Until……..the factory forgot to fit the water splash guard on the lower PCB and it got drenched. The result is a machine that will not programme. Switch on, set to program, press the start button and it stays on “Stop” but the door locks. 😕
Both the lower board and the main PCB look fine, I’ve cleaned the connections and refitted the plugs; still dead.
I am thinking main PCB: but what does the small lower PCB do? If it got water damaged would the main PCB be affected?
I also cannot find the part number for the main PCB.

    Any help please!!

    Thanks,

    Steve.

    Thanks, Chris!!
Is it likely to have blown both boards? And why has the drier got it’s own stand alone PCB?

    Cheers,

    Steve.
