Hoover Logic washer dryer creasing clothes

Old lady that knows her machine well finds that she is unable to iron out creases on her cotton tablecloths serviettes etc on the last 2 washes. Dryer not used.
Uses Persil nonbio liquid and ecologic fabric conditioner (for a long time).
Sat with machine for 1 hour. No extended spin time (under 10 mins) dryer not coming on by itself, drum, drain all ok.
Can any of the experts on the older stuff point me in the right direction?
Am at a loss on this one.

have you checked the hot and cold fill hoses are on the right way round, they go on differently than the logic washing machine.
looking from the front of the machine the hot hose is on the left on the washerdryer but it is on the right on the washing machine.
i also never assume if its a red tap or a red hose its hot water
