Is there a known problem with Hoover lower weights?

I’ve just been to the second one in two weeks where the lower weight has broken up and chewed the middle lug off the front of the tub.

    First was HSWF147-80
    Second was HNF71683D-80

Have they just been unlucky, or is there a trend?

Not according to GIAS, no mods, nothing….

…..The drum occasionally breaks up mid spin and the machine explodes but that’s all I’m aware of so far…. 😈

I’ve had a couple of newish Hoover machines with loose lower weights recently, causing a noise on spin and cement dust on the floor underneath but none that have broken up. Don’t know the mod no’s but were both 8kg machines. Wiz

Yep been to a few recently,i think the plastic tray they fit to the underneath of the m/c does a good job of hiding the cement dust untill its to late !!
