    Hello folks.
i am wanting to build some kind of testing rig for the little hoover pcb boards of the six and performa type.
i want to be able to plug my rig onto a random board and a test motor and then switch on therby testing the board, they give me headache lol.
any one got any clues because up to now i seem to be getting nowhere.
if anyone can help or has already built one your advice would be great thanks:)

oh and just to add on does anyone know what the letters on the board are for stat3 rot1 etc??

    Re: HOOVER MODULE

Do you mean board part number 91200606? If this is the one, why not just carry a board as a spare and just slave it in place whilst testing the faulty machine. The board is only £28.00 new. These boards normally give no drum action or one direction only faults. You can get the motor to full spin by making a fly lead up and plugging it into the mains. Never had the main timer on early SIX machines give motor action faults.

    TA tim
i usually carry a spare module and motor to any hoover motor fault.
i was just wondering as i have a few mock up pcb testers that i find come in handy so that i canb totally elimante pcb / motor as the fault. i have a unit to plug into the motor block direct that i made to test the motor but it does not show up all faults.
just thought if i could put power to the board in the correct place after testing thee motor then i could know for sure.
    but thanx anyway:):)
