Keymastermy washer when put on any wash cycle starts to pump water in but at the same time is pumping water out. It also seems to pump water in on the spin cycles .
Anyone any ideas????February 6, 2005 at 7:09 pm #125251Penguin45
ParticipantNew Wave Plus 5 is a generic – please supply the actual model number of the appliance. Check around the door opening.

This sounds a bit of an odd one Rich.
When you say it’s pumping out at the same time as filling, the waste hose is high enough is it ? Connected to the sink trap or in a stand pipe.
Also, if the water is being allowed in on spin the inlet valves are being energised by the control unit, possibly a short in the harness ?
Please pull the plug :plug: :zap: if you’re investigating yourself.
Although, with a fault like this (if the waste hose is OK and no blockages) I would recommend an engineer attends to diagnose for you, have a look at repairs@ and the directories.

Yes Dave hose is high enough about 2 1/2 foot high
I have been using it in this position for 2years.
Totally baffled
I have cleaned the pump assembly and sump including the ball and piping but no matter what cycle you put the washer on it starts taking water in and simultaneously pumps it back out. The water level does not get high enough to trigger the wash cycle. tried disconnecting the pump and the wash cycle begins when the water reaches the right level but the water does not turn itself off and overfills. But when the machine has just been turned on and no cycle selected it does nothing,When put on a spin cycle water still seems to be taken in but otherwise it spins o.k but clothes are no drier than before the spin cycle.

ParticipantThis is the digital machine with the hybrid power board in the bottom. The fault almost certainly lies there. Check Dave’s points first, if all clear this your problem.
Due to the age of the machine and the component cost, you may want to think twice about having it repaired!
