KeymasterI am having difficulty with my hoover new wave plus 5 (A2140-001)
Having replaced the brushes on the motor the machine will run on a program 10 (fast spin) ok. Problem is when trying to run the likes of a prog 4 the m/c will fill ok but when motor tries to turn all I get is a buzzing noise. It will go through the cycle and when ever fast speed is used on the motor it goes OK. It will run through the whole prog ok and drain ok. ❗ ❓ ❓February 22, 2005 at 9:44 pm #126865Penguin45
ParticipantArmature losing the will to live I’m afraid. Not even sure if the motor is still available – Dave Conway’ll know, ‘cos he’s clever at these things.

Hi:-
Thanks for that.. I have now managed to obtain a replacement motor which gives me both speeds.. The problem I now have is an’E2′ error.. I’ve cleaned the ball and the sump and checked for blockages. the error happens midway through a number 4 program cycle. The machine will do a quickwash(12) and a fast spin(10) without going into error condition. could anybody give me some advice… thanks…March 8, 2005 at 9:06 am #126867Martin

Tried making sure the connections hadn’t been disrupted when changing the moter.. they all looked OK.. but reseated them at element end just in case…The machine timed out again 1st time I tried(prog 4) but went through a complete cycle(prog 4) the next time. Havn’t tried again.. If/when I replace the element what is the best way to tackle it.. Should the font panel be removed.. Or is there enough room to remove from underneath. Your help is very much appreciated…
