The problem I have is the machine gives error code 1 I have found the water heater is not coming on everything else is working (it filles with water the drum turns the spinner works and the pump works fine ) , the element measures ok using a multimeter , what I have found is that the thermistor reads 8 mega ohm when cold and drops to 6 mega ohm in boiling water what I am unable to find is the range these thermistors work in the thermistor is reacting to heat but varying between 8 and 6 M ohm seems very high to me .Can any one helpFebruary 25, 2008 at 6:36 pm #244164helo_75
Participante1 on a new wave is usually the heater being slightly down to earth
do you find the machine wont spin either?
change the heater, im sure all will be fine
Power off, first.

hi
definately not the heater , meggerd it with the m/c full of water no earth fault in any cause if there was an earth fault then the house elcb would have tripped, I still suspect thermistor or card .February 29, 2008 at 3:34 pm #244168helo_75

dont kid yourself
earth leaks dont always trip the pcb
when you open the door, does it have 3 lines or just a dot?

Have you checked the wires to the heater? They can break on the right side where the wires go from the machine to the tub. They can break very neatly so don’t just visually check them physically check as well.
Power off. Unplug machine as always.

Hi
Yes continuity is fine on both wires , no breaks or intermittant breaks -
