Back again after a few years off!

The washing machine suddenly stopped working last week. It had water in the drum so I suspected the pump. Took it off and changed it for one I know to be good – from another working machine. Tried again. On a spin only cycle it drained the water nicely – no problem with the pump then.

This morning I tried running a ‘Daily 29″ program, the washing m/c filled as normal but would not rotate – there’s a double ‘click’ indicating to me that its trying to send a signal to the motor to start but nothing happens. I suspect the motor.

Question; before I remove it are there likely to be any other causes? I don’t seem to have any error codes, i.e. there are no flashing lights – the only light on the board is the 30min timer light which I believe is normal for this m/c when its operating.
