Hi all new to forum, got a problem with a Hoover NHL 6166,what’s happening is when I select a program nothing happens except an intermittent buzzing noise,have left it 10mins and came back to it steam was coming out of the soap drawer any ideas ,thanks!

If it is heating without water in it then it could be a faulty pressure switch or control board. Most likely the former.
You’d need to suss out what it’s actually doing (or not doing) before replacing any parts or us being able to help much further I suspect.
