Hi Guys got this Hoover Optima without clothes in all cycles finish. With clothes sometimes E3 or E16 fault comes up now the pump & outlet system are fine & I’ve meggared the heater. What is strange I tried it with clothes on the rinse & it got to 1 min left & just stayed in a loop where it was trying to balance the drum & couldn’t I took the washing out & it finished fine. I would definitely say the fault lay with the balance control but do you think the fault lies with the motor or pcb board or both. Any help appreciated. Thanks Mack.

E3 and E16 faults are caused by the wash heater earth resistance breaking down during a wash. well documented by GIAS.

heater every time as bob says . well… try reversing the polarity
(not recomended ) it will work for a while , gets you out of trouble when you have to order a heater , and iff its miles away. some thing hoover has not picked up on yet …
